This quarter my best blog post was, "Intangible Reparation?". After our class discussion on mostly tangible reparations for slavery, we left class given a question about possible intangible reparations for it. On my way home from school I thought about Black History Month as an intangible reparation, and centered it around that blog post. I did some research on Black History Month and explored the interesting debate it causes. I was glad to find my post triggered a response from classmates. Overall this was probably my best post because it was so related to our class discussion.
This quarter I think in general my posts were more related to class discussions. So I had more ideas for blogs and it wasn't as difficult to write them. I'm looking forward to doing some blogs about the JT during 4th quarter (yikes!).
I think my favorite/best post is my most recent one, which discusses a possible exception to the TV tokenism Mr. Bolos has talked about. In this post I was glad I could incorporate a video clip and create a post that I hoped would stimulate a similar discussion like the ones we've had in class. This post is also more entertaining and interactive, and I personally enjoyed writing it. This quarter I wish I found a little more time to blog, as there were definitely some current events that I wanted to discuss. But overall I was really glad to blog for the first time. It's a great way to express your ideas and opinions on issues in class and truly works as a conversation with the rest of the world. Over the course of the year I definitely began to question and analyze current issues more and more. By the end of the year my posts began to reflect class discussions as opposed to events that didn't really pertain to anything we talked about. It's been fun, Blogger, and I'm hoping to find time to blog a little over the summer!
I love this video!! So sad they don't have Hobo STD in the conference.
